About our Bishop
Bishop Mani grew up in the San Francisco bay area and moved to West Texas in 1994.
He was ordained to the priesthood of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church in 2008.
He was consecrated to the traditional episcopate on April 26, 2009. He is a member in good standing of the Progressive Episcopal Conference. In 2012, Bishop Mani was asked to become the Bishop Diocesan of the Diocese of the West for the Progressive Episcopal Church.
Bishop Mani is the Administrator of the Department of Theology at the Metropolitan Theological Seminary where he teaches courses on Biblical Studies, Progressive Theology, Process Theology, The Historical Jesus, and Christian History. He is currently working towards a Doctor of Theology degree and a Master of History degree. Bishop Mani is the Minister General of Societas Christi, and the senior instructor of the Lubbock Backyard Ohana.
Bishop Mani has been the guiding force of the Progressive Christian Fellowship of Lubbock, Texas in all of its incarnations since it began in early 2008.
